Government Canyon State Natural Area - Texas Parks and Wildlife | Helotes, TX
Learn to identify local wildflowers as we search for early bloomers and coming attractions. The hike is approximately 1.5-2 miles round trip over sections of moderately rough terrain with frequent stops to identify flowers.
Open to ages 8 and up; minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. No pets please.
Registration is required for this hike. Sorry, no group registrations. Registration opens on Saturday, two weeks prior to the event, and closes at noon, the Thursday before the event. Though the hike is free, entrance fees to the Natural Area apply.
To save time at the Fee Booth on crowded days and ensure entrance, please pre-purchase and PRINT OUT a Day Pass . SPECIAL NOTE: Reserving a Day Pass is NOT the same as making a program reservation.
