Come And Join The Scotsburn Community Food Forest for their Spring Food Forest Opener and Chore day!Our Community work together known as a Permablitz will start at 10 am and go until 1 pm or our chores are completed... Many Hands Make light work.
This is a family Friendly and FREE event. We ask that you bring any hand tools, shovels, wheelbarrows that you may have to help us with a few simple chores to tend to the awakening Forest.
There will be a simple kid activated activity of rock painting so that we may brighten up the Food Forest for spring life. There is no child care on site but open space and playground for them to play in.
WE will be offering opportunities for some mentoring as we move thru weeding, watering, mulching, cover cropping, and moving compost. All skills and ages welcome. We have a way for everyone to contribute.
There will be some free seeds on hand, along with light refreshments and snacks.
We always have a fun and light hearted time coming together to support this incredible perennial food system here in Scotsburn.
