SPRING FLOWER PAINTING WEEKEND

Welcome to a Spring Flower painting workshop with artist Serena Rowe!

Over the weekend we will be celebrating the joy and energy that Spring brings and trying to convey that in our still life paintings.

We will explore the exciting possibilties of mark making that oil painting provides as well covering all things technical : priming boards, mixing colour, how an organised palette can free you up during the act of painting, which mediums to use etc

We will focus on colour- its possibility to convey feeling and communicate emotions.

From a technical point of view, we will use a limited palette to create a kaleidoscopic array of colours

Serena is an experienced and well loved tutor.

She has been painting in oils for 30+ years.

She is an encouraging teacher who adores sharing her knowledge and aims to get the best out of each artist.

After the weekend you will have met like minded artists and made friends and connections.

You will leave with an armful of drawings and paintings and a head full of inspiration!

The Anna Lovely Gallery is a well equipped, light and welcoming space in South East London with a lovely South facing garden.

Materials are not included. A list of what to bring will be sent to you after booking.
