ADVANCING YOUR FLEXIBILITY
Are you ready for some tools to help you advance your flexibility past “good” and towards “great”? In this workshop we’ll focus on back flexibility, including core strength, bend distribution, and spiral pathways. We’ll cover warm-ups and back mobilizers and also introduce you to ways to take your back flexibility towards contortion skills.
PREREQS:
Skills: bridge with straight arms, able to find square in splits (they don’t have to be flat).

CONTORTION WEEKEND IMMERSION
Are you ready to dive into the art of bending your body with control and strength? Join us to take your flexibility training to the next level by exploring training tools, new skills, and creative transitions. We’ll look at leg flexibility, back flexibility, weight shifting, and dynamic skills. Bring us your bendy and we’ll help you get even better and stronger.
PREREQS:
Skills: 10 second free handstand (straight body), forearm stand, chest stand (feet can be elevated), able to find “square” in splits (the splits don’t have to be flat), and able to catch feet in cobra. Strength: 10 push-ups or 20 knee push-ups in a row and a one-minute plank.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Ariana Ferber-Carter debuted with Circus Smirkus, going on to specialize in contortion at New England Center for Circus Arts and San Francisco Circus Center. They performed with Circus Bella, Celebrity Cruises, Nimble Arts, Six Flags, Worlds of Fun, Quixotic, and Aerheart. They can be reached @ariana.contortion.
