About | Master XinXin He 

A disciple of Master Junichi Mitsubori and inheritor of Ichika-ryu techniques, He Xinxin is the founder of Oshiriai Tea Wagashi Studio, New York’s first tea wagashi workshop. On Friday, January 24th, join us at Porcelanosa New York for a unique Wagashi workshop. Led by Wagashi Master Xinxin He, a direct disciple of renowned Japanese Nerikiri Wagashi Master Junichi Mitsubori, you’ll learn to craft two Exquisite Chinese New Year-themed Wagashi—  Peony and Persimmon.

Wagashi Theme IntroductionPeony | The Peony Wagashi is inspired by the peonies blooming in a winter garden, symbolizing romance and warmth in the winter season. The confectionery showcases the beautiful shape of the peony flower, with intricate layers of petals that leave a lasting impression. Each bite is a blend of sweetness and elegance, like a radiant winter flower emitting warmth and light in the cold.

Persimmon｜Inspired by the Chinese New Year blessing "everything goes as planned," this persimmon-shaped wagashi symbolizes abundance and happiness. Blending tradition and artistry, it conveys warm wishes for a prosperous year ahead.
