About this Event
THE FLOW OF THE EVENT
We will learn the history and folklore behind Ostara (Spring Equinox), as we honor this time in the annual cycle of nature of balance, rebirth, and the beginning of longer, sunlit days.
This period marks nature's rejuvenation and the coming of Spring!
The ceremony will begin with tea and meditation, after time for journaling and sharing we will move into crafting and storytelling. We will be preparing Ostara stars made out of earth materials and naturally dyed eggs decorated with wax.
I will be sharing herbal snacks from my medicine cabinet like rose and red raspberry truffles, yogurt bark with berries and cinammon, sprouted chickpeas, fresh bread, and other seasonal surprises!
By celebrating Spring Equinox we embody renewal, growth, and the eternal cycle of life. Ostara invites a deep connection with nature, offering a chance to reflect, renew, and re-emerge like the budding Spring.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Nora Luce is a local folk herbalist who serves the community at the local farmer's markets with her company Critical Ritual. She has a passion for sharing her many years of education in medical botany and folk herbalism. Her desire is for this community to have more awareness to the abundance of plant medicine that surrounds us in this city and the re-awakening of more medicine people on this land.
