We entered the Year of the Fire Horse in mid-February — a force that could easily tempt us to charge ahead, full-steam. And yet, in the weeks leading to the Spring Equinox, life has asked us to slow down. To hold our horses. To feel what is actually happening beneath the surface and gauge whether or not our next action is aligned with truth or triggered by habit.

As we cross the threshold of Ostara into Spring’s rebirth, we’re not just witnessing seasonal change — we’re living through the heightened exposure of old paradigms unraveling. The systems we were taught to rely on are revealing their fractures. But the collapse of the old world is not only happening “out there.” It’s happening within us — in the ways we over-function, over-consume, over-achieve, and override our own intuitive knowing just to keep up.

Where there is chaos, there is creative potential. But only if we meet it intentionally.

The political is personal because social systems move through human nervous systems. We were conditioned into constant motion, and inhumane levels of speed and productivity. When we are given little space to rest, process, or feel, urgency and scarcity become the air we breathe. Tending to our own healing and regulation in these times is both seemingly radical and absolutely necessary participation in a different way of being.

If we want sovereignty collectively, we practice it individually. If we want a more humane world, we remember the source of our humanity lives in our own bodies.

Turning points in the wheel of the year, like the Spring Equinox, offer a gentle choice point: not a demand for perfection, but an opening. A moment to notice what has been running us, and to consciously realign with the truth of who we are in our hearts. From that place, we don’t run from pressure — we run with liberation.

This is the call of heart-led leadership, ready to take root and rise – a crocus bloomed.

This Equinox is an invitation to recalibrate. To gather in community. To heal, to remember, and to let your heart gently guide the wild horses of renewal — not through force, but through grounded, embodied leadership from within.
