Vivaldi’s blockbuster, The Four Seasons, by candlelight in the magnificent medieval surroundings of St Mary's Church. This special performance takes place in the chancel, underneath the church's famous Ceiling of Kings.From icy plains to luscious meadows, heat waves to crisp autumn leaves, Vivaldi's masterpiece tells the story of a year in technicolour, from fearsome drama to the lyricism of a warming midwinter fire.
Starring outstanding violinist Alexandra Caldon, whose recent performance of this with Britten Sinfonia was much praised.
