Spring Buffalo Day has been set for Saturday March 22nd, 2025!
Buffalo Day, an event that happens twice a year, is an extremely important day for both us and the animals. It is a day in which we assess the animals, get their weights, fix any animals tags if need be, and give the animals any help they may require before releasing them back out on pasture to roam.
- Buffalo Day is a free event starting around 8:30am and lasting until the last animal makes its way down our chutes to be assessed, typically around 1pm. The ending time IS NOT A SET TIME and can end earlier as well as later! This is completely dependant on the animals and how smoothly the day goes.
- We will take a short break sometime mid-day to give our workers time to recoup and grab a bite to eat.
- Meat and merchandise sales will be available at the farm between 9am-1pm.
- There will be a porta potty, as well as a hand washing station for anyone that needs them.
- We will have some seats inside our barn to sit at and get out of whatever weather mother nature throws our way.
-There will be limited wooden bleacher seating as well as some ground seats available for viewing parts of our working process.
- We do ask that you please do not stand on our narrow wooden walk-way where workers are.
- The event is an outdoor event all except for when making purchases.
This day is offers an opportunity for those interested in seeing the animals to get a closer look. It is also a great chance to purchase our bison meat and merchandise from our farm location. Again, there is no admission fee, however donations are certainly appreciated! This only happens twice a year, typically one Saturday in the Spring and one Saturday in the Fall!
