Welcome in May in style at The Mermaid Exeter, Spring Affair celebrates the return of nature and the transition into the warmer season ..... two floors, insane décor, Vinyl only DJs all day and into the night (including former Glastonbury main stage DJ Dick Kurtaine). We have also teamed up with Midas Soul Club who are known for playing an exciting mix of underground and mainstream Disco and soul tunes.
Dance Workshop: at 2;00pm there will also be a dance workshop Run by the crew of "Cool nights out" focusing on a range of styles from Lindy Hop to House dance.
🏝️Genres: Expect Disco, Funk, Soul, Latin, Bosanova, Hip Hop, City Pop, House, Oldschool Jungle/ D&B, Jazz Funk.
🏄 Upstairs: DJs spinning Multiple genres from 2:00pm till close.
⛱️ Downstairs: Will open up at 8:00pm and will be playing a mix of Genres ranging from hard funk to Oldschool D&B alongside the DJs upstairs🏝️ Suggested Attire: Tropical, psychedelia, Floral, Think 60s/70s vibes.🏆 Prizes for the best costumes.📸 On the day: a photographer will be shooting with real 35mm film .....
🍹 Summery cocktails on the bar, only for this event. TBA check Instagram for updates.🕰️ Doors 2:00pm · Close 12:00am (may extend to 1 depending on how busy it is at 12.📽️ Live Oil projection visual effects.
💃Keep an eye out for our Living Flora... ambient dancers bringing a funky botanical pulse to the crowd.
🌻Decorations: expect the Mermaid to be transformed into a Psycadelic tropical paradise.
