The next Public Service Event Training Exercise has been scheduled for Saturday 4/11/2026. This training exercise is for new hams and hams that are new to working Public Service Events. Our club provides communications support to between 7 and 10 community events each year. This training exercise will prepare you to work with our club members at these events. In the classroom we will cover pre-event planning, expectations of communications volunteers, what and what not to say on the radio, and general radio procedures. We will then move outside for practical application of what we learned in the classroom. We will then follow up with an After Action Review back in the classroom. Experienced hams are needed to facilitate the exercise and mentor the new hams.
