Spreading the Music Summer Recital

This is our second annual Summer Recital! This is yet another opportunity for our students to share their gifts. Spreading the Music students will perform a piece they have been working on this semester, showcasing their process and performance. It highlights our music school's strengths and talents, Spreading the Music and connecting to students, teachers, friends, family, and community.

• Recital Location: Spreading the Music in Upstairs Room 3. Please note that guests must walk up 23 steps to reach the recital location, and it may not be accessible for all persons. The main entrance is located on Valence St. left of Mojo Coffee House
• $15 for guests 12 years and older, $5 for kids' table (Reserved for students 5-12), and student performers are FREE.

• Street Parking on Valence, Freret or Lasalle.
• Sound Check: Performers must arrive 20 minutes early to test the piano and complete a quality sound check.
• Performers will sit in concert order in a sectioned area.
• Formal attire.
• Pictures and group photos are allowed before and after the performance.

• Confirm the Recital Time with your teacher directly before purchasing a ticket.
• 8 students maximum performance.
• When you arrive, be prepared to show your tickets. Students will be asked to find their name tags and sit in concert order in the front row.
• Students can perform a max of 2 pieces for up to 5 minutes.
• Great practice motivator and creative outlet over the summer!

• Reception! In the downstairs in the Spreading the Music Waiting Area.
• Students are registered on a first-come, first-served basis with an initial limit of 10 students per recital time.
• Confirm with your Spreading the Music teacher which recital you are performing in BEFORE purchasing your tickets.

• When you arrive, performers will be asked to find their names and will be seated in concert order in the front row.
• Dress Rehearsal rehearsal at the Spreading the Music Main Office (2436 Valence St), Friday, August 7th, at 5 pm-6:30 pm

Spreading the Music is an Uptown New Orleans music studio providing private music lessons, group classes, rehearsal space, and community outreach to schools and churches since 2016.
