About this Event
Learn about the impacts of the spotted lanternfly. Carl has been with the University of Kentucky for 28 years working to help slow the spread of invasives. He would ideally like to eradicate the invasive but that doesn’t always happen! Knowing that we can’t do this alone, he created a citizen science program to involve concerned citizens in helping us to combat invasive species crossing our borders!
This program will include an indoor presentation followed by an outdoor walk
Program Leader: Carl Harper, Citizen Science Program Manager, University of Kentucky
Hike distance and difficulty: 1-1.5 miles; easy – moderate
Bring: water
Optional: hiking poles, snack, camera
The meeting location will be emailed to all registered participants a few day before the program.
