On this tour, Jade Xiao ’27 will explore how art exists both within reality and makes its own realities. The works on the tour will be French artist Nicolas Régnier’s Self-Portrait with an Easel (c. 1620–c. 1625), Composite Portrait of a Man (Roman Egypt, early 2nd century CE), and the painting Proun 12E (1923) by El Lissitzky.
Spotlight Tours offer a chance to explore the collections of the Harvard Art Museums through the eyes of a Harvard student. Free and open to the public, these tours start outside the museum shop on Saturdays and Sundays at 11am and 2pm. Drop in and join the conversation!
