Meret Ester began her musical path with piano, flute, and violin before teaching herself guitar and banjo and writing her first songs as a teenager. In 2022, she released her debut EP, co-produced with her brother Marvin Ester (nosleepblues), and has since performed at festivals and opened for artists like Hohnen Ford, Wyvern Lingo, and CamilleCamille.Her sound has grown from intimate, stripped-back recordings to richer, more textured arrangements inspired by artists like Sufjan Stevens and Adrianne Lenker. In May 2025, Meret will tour Germany with her debut album Taken by Surprise.✨
