Learn about four nonprofit (501c3) organizations serving diverse causes and people tell about their efforts and activities. This free forum is hosted by San Jose Friends Meeting (Quakers) and is open to the public. Parking is free.
Where: San Jose Friends’ historic 1885 Quaker meeting house, at 1041 Morse St, San Jose, CA 95126
When: starts at noon on Sunday, October 26, 2025 and lasts for an hour or more
GROUPS PRESENTING:
The Center for Common Ground (CFCG) educates and empowers voters of color in voter suppression states. CFCG’s Reclaim Our Vote campaign, with its nationwide network of allies and volunteers, builds a democracy that prioritizes the voices of ALL people. www.centerforcommonground.org
Centro de Ayuda Legal para Inmigrantes (CALI) is dedicated to providing immigration legal services to the low-income community. CALI staff serve and advocate for immigrants in 13 counties, in English, Spanish, Vietnamese, regarding immigration law, family and juvenile issues, and other legal matters. https://cali-immigration.org
South Bay Clean Creeks Coalition (SBCCC): The Coalition’s mission is to reclaim our waterways by removing trash and other contaminants, to restore those waterways by improving water quality, and to revitalize our waterways so that the native wildlife can survive and thrive. https://sbcleancreeks.com/
Servas International is a cultural exchange program that promotes world peace. Servas allows members in 130 countries to make contact, build friendships, and broaden understanding. Connecting people from different races, cultures, and faiths promotes peace and tolerance. servas.org / usservas.org
