SPOTLIGHT ON BUSINESS LUNCHEON
About this Event
The 2026 Spotlight on Business recognizes Sandra Hally, owner of Affordable Beauty Salon, whose life journey embodies this year's powerful theme: "Beauty, Brokenness & Becoming."
For more than 14 years, Sandra endured a devastating cycle of domestic violence that left both physical and emotional scars that she continues to navigate today. Yet through faith, resilience, healing, and determination, she emerged not only as a survivor but also as a courageous advocate for others facing similar challenges.
As part of the inaugural Black Business Insiders (BBI) EXPO & Convention, Sandra will participate in an intimate sit-down conversation with Ashley Moss of Louisiana First News. An award-winning journalist known for her thoughtful storytelling and compassionate interviewing style, Ashley is uniquely positioned to guide this powerful discussion. The conversation promises to be one of her most moving and impactful interviews, offering attendees an authentic look at Sandra's journey from victimization to victory.
Following the interview, a panel discussion featuring advocates, professionals, and community leaders will explore how business owners, employers, coworkers, family members, and customers can recognize the signs of domestic violence and support victims with resources, referrals, and compassionate intervention.
This signature event is more than a luncheon—it is a conversation about survival, healing, empowerment, and the collective responsibility we share in creating safer communities. Attendees will leave inspired by Sandra's courage and equipped with practical knowledge to help those impacted by domestic violence.
