About this Event
Join Columbus Dispatch football beat writer Bill Rabinowitz to learn more about his latest book, Buckeye Brotherhood, the definitive chronicle of Ohio State Buckeyes' 2024 college football championship season. Bill will be in conversation with popular Dispatch sports columnist Rob Oller.
The admission fee is waived if the book is pre-purchased when registering.
In Buckeye Brotherhood, Bill Rabinowitz (The Chase) takes readers inside Ohio State Buckeye’s legendary run to their first national championship in a decade. Navigating a new world for college football, featuring conference realignments, NIL deals, and a brand-new playoff format, OSU shook off disappointing regular season losses and came together when it mattered most.
Featuring in-depth reporting and an unforgettable cast of characters—including newcomers Caleb Downs, Will Howard, and Jeremiah Smith alongside experienced Buckeyes Emeka Egbuka and Jack Sawyer—this is the story of how the team built their own brand of football, silenced their critics, and returned championship glory to The Ohio State University.
Bill Rabinowitz has covered Ohio State football for the Columbus Dispatch since 2011. Before that, he covered the expansion Cleveland Browns (1999-2004) and Cincinnati Bengals (2005-07). He has written books on the undefeated 2012 team (Buckeye Rebirth) and the national championship 2014 team (The Chase).
Rob Oller grew up on the shores of Lake Erie rooting for the Cleveland Browns and Indians -- as much as it was possible to actually care about the Indians back then. He eventually paired his love for sports with his love/hate relationship with writing to enter journalism as a sports reporter. After graduating from Ohio State with a B.A. in journalism, Rob embarked on a 10-year stay at the Springfield (Ohio) newspaper before joining the Columbus Dispatch in 1995. Over the past 30 years he has covered everything from Putt-Putt tournaments to the Masters, from high school football to the Super Bowl. And from pick-up basketball games to the NBA Finals. Most often you will find him sweating over columns about Ohio State football. He says this about writing: Sometimes it comes naturally and sometimes - to quote Hemingway -- "you sit down at the typewriter and open a vein."
