Sports Quarter - Community Workshops

You’re invited to our design workshops to help shape what the Sports Quarter can be and how it can benefit the local community in East Birmingham. At the workshops, you'll have the opportunity to help design new community parks, sports spaces and public places for the Sports Quarter.

Each workshop will cover different areas and topics. You can come to as many as you like.

Saturday 25th April at Naseby Youth Centre, Naseby Rd, B8 3HG

Topics include sports facilities and activities, connecting new and existing neighbourhoods and improving transport connections.

Saturday 9 May, at Pitch 2 Progress (access via Green Lane Playing Fields), B9 5QP

Topics include spaces and facilities for communities, routes for getting around, and access and safety.

Saturday 30 May at Phoenix Hall Community Centre, 1 Towpath Cl, B9 4QA

Topics include public squares and spaces, culture, leisure and commercial spaces, everyday activities for the community, and balancing matchday uses with community uses.

All workshops will start at 10:00am and run in two parts with a 30 minute break.
You can join for the whole session or only one part.
Part 1: 10:00am - 11.30am
Part 2: 12:00pm - 1:30pm

About the Sports Quarter

A new Sports Quarter is being explored for East Birmingham, and we want local people to help shape the future of this area.

Birmingham Sports Quarter is a once-in-a-generation project and opportunity that will create new parks, sports and community facilities spaces for the local area and communities.
