Learn how to create magazine-style sports portraits in everyday locations using smart composition and simple lighting. Hands-on learning!
About this Event

You don’t need stadium access or professional arenas to create compelling sports portraits.

In this class, Sports Portrait photographer Edward Mathews will show you how to transform everyday environments—gyms, hallways, fields, and other ordinary spaces—into dynamic, magazine‑style sports portrait locations. You’ll learn how to identify strong backgrounds, use composition to add cinematic impact, and combine lighting and posing techniques to elevate your images in real‑world settings.

Through live demonstrations and hands-on shooting with an athlete model, you’ll practice building strong portraits in realistic, adaptable environments.
