Spoon Carving Tune Up
Advertisement
If you have carved a few spoons and you want a bit more instruction this is the class for you. We will review safety, knife grips and proper technique, with an emphasis on finish cuts on dry wood. Students are encouraged to bring in projects to work on or other spoons they have carved to share with the class.
This is a student directed class. I will try to address any spoon carving questions and topics that you have. Some of the topics that we may discuss include: spoon design and layout, ax work, splitting wood and keeping tools sharp.
Tools and supplies will be available to start a new spoon carving project or continue an old one.
