Spooky Stories in the Dark - FREE live storytelling at UCLA

Are you in a spooky mood? The UCLA Latino Alumni Association (ULAA) in collaboration with the UCLA Black Alumni Association (UBAA, UCLA Undocumented Alumni Association (UAA), UCLA Mixed Alumni Association (UMAA), UCLA Transfer Student Alumni Network (TSAN), UCLA Academic Advancement Program Alumni Network (AAPAN), and American Indian Alumni of UCLA (AIA) is bringing you "Spooky Stories in the Dark" on Halloween weekend before you go out trick-or-treating! This event is open to UCLA alumni, friends and all members of the public!

The storytelling prompt for the evening is: "The Moment Everything Changed – Describe an ordinary day that took a sudden, eerie turn."

On Nov. 1st, 6-8:30 PM, the James W. Alumni Center will be transformed into a spine-tingling celebration of spooky storytelling for Halloween and Dia de Muertos. We encourage you to come dressed rocking your costume before you go out or get a fresh and FREE Dia De Muertos face painting, this is the ultimate pre-party before you hit the streets of Westwood!

👻 What to Expect:

Chilling tales told by students, alumni and community members from all cultures!

There will be professional photographers and a FREE photo booth that will be printing out FREE photos right on the spot so you can cherish these ghoulish memories forever!

A temporary Dia De Muertos altar where you can honor loved ones, bring a photo or something that reminds you of them to honor them during the event and then take it home!

We encourage you to wear your costumes, enjoy FREE Dia de Muertos face painting, bring your family, kids welcome! and enjoy great community vibes—no dress code, but you know it’s Halloween weekend! UCLA Alumni and Student orgs/groups will also be tabling and mixing it up with the crowd as well!
