Daniloff Productions proudly presents *Spookey’s Friday the 13th Live Explosion!* - direct from Hollywood, California, Flatcar Records recording artist Spookey Ruben, the Canadian born DIY-pop legend who has influenced everyone from Death Cab for Cutie to Ariel Pink, returns to his hometown Toronto for an exclusive headlining musical extravaganza, featuring his own ‘Crash Bang Theatre’ video triggering rig (using midi drum pads!) and the songbook of a pop genius. Joining him is an army of extremely special guests such as Niagara Falls' zany acclaimed emotional minstrel Thunderclap!, the Alt-folk anthems of Flatcar labelmates Belfountain, and Burning Man alumni/dance club favourite The Pickle Fairy starring as the MC for the evening - intertwined by voguing prodigy Dymund Pink Lady Devil, and the funky fresh selections of atomic jukebox spinster DJ Full Throttle Aristotle. Naturally, Spookey’s trademark 6-foot psychedelic owl mascot O.T. Biggs will be lurking around too. Look out for surprise guest appearances from Spookey’s extraordinary collaborative career and most excellent musical past.

The one-night-only cornucopia of artistic delights comes just ahead of his one-off appearance at this year’s Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg, Germany and serves as a preliminary icebreaker to the release of his long-awaited new album. This incredible live spectacle encapsulates a multi-dimensional madcap solo show with support from some of Toronto’s most innovative and emerging artists, happening inside Toronto’s newest hot-spot: BSMT 254.
