Sponsor a Christmas Tree

It's reached that time of year again and Halifax Minster is proud to announce its 9th Christmas Tree Festival, running from Friday 5th December - Monday 8th December. The Minster is filled with the sight and scent of over 40 Christmas Trees, all available to be sponsored. You may choose to decorate your tree to promote your organisation or business, honour the memory of a loved one or just as an excuse to get festive!

After the festival, the trees remain on display in the Minster until the New Year.

Sponsors can choose between a 6ft tree at £140 or a 9ft tree at £190. The trees are allocated for decoration on a first-come, first-served basis on Tuesday December 2nd and Wednesday December 3rd from 9am - 4pm. The trees come provided with a stand and lights already in position, many stand on top of the pews for a greater effect.

The Festival is open to the public from 10-4pm daily from Friday December 5th - Monday 8th December. (On Sunday it opens later, at 12pm after the Morning Service, surrounded by all the trees). Activities, live music and refreshments are available during the Festival. Booking isn't necessary to visit the Minster, although for larger groups, please contact [email protected] in advance! During the festival, adult entry is £3.00, Children - FREE. Payment by card is preferred for entry.

After the Festival the trees remain on display in the Minster but are rearranged to maximise the available seating for the Christmas period. Sponsors should remove their decorations on Sunday January 5th or Monday January 6th.

In 2024 over 13,000 visitors were welcomed to the Minster in December - your decorated tree could be seen by a similar number this year!
