Spoken Word Workshop

Discover your voice and creativity at our Spoken Word Workshop for all ages, hosted at

Sohza Sister Boutique on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 10am–12 noon! Join local

musician and inspired facilitator Kim Belew as she leads you on a journey to craft

powerful lyrics, culminating in a community spoken word event on November 8.

Drawing inspiration from the acclaimed book Reviving Ophelia—which explores the

psychological needs and experiences of teenage girls—this workshop opens a

supportive space for self-expression and connection.

All participants are invited back for a friendly rehearsal on October 18, 2025, 10am–12

noon at Sohza Sister Boutique. Whether you’re a seasoned wordsmith or just starting

out, come join us, be inspired, and let your voice be heard! The spoken word

participants will be invited to perform the night of the Artist’s Talks scheduled for November 8, 6-9pm.
