SPO FLO Fan Into Flame Retreat (FIF21)

“I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God […] for the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love, and self-discipline.” (2 Tim 1: 6-7).

SPO | FLO is rich with many elements that characterize our life in Christ; households, relational evangelization, and community are all staples that make us...us. And another staple is called a Fan into Flame (FIF) retreat. During this retreat, students and missionaries alike are able to re-encounter the fundamental truths of our faith and “fan into flame” the great gift of the Holy Spirit that God first gave us at our Baptism. The retreat begins with a recognition of our own sin and Jesus’ saving work in his death and resurrection. The key of the retreat, however, is that the good news does not end there. Jesus also sent the Holy Spirit to dwell in us. Join us in praying that the Holy Spirit may deepen his presence in our hearts and send us out to share the richness of life in Christ.

Covid Precautions:

Before the retreat weekend we will ask all students to submit a status of their Covid antibodies. What this means is if you have already had Covid-19, gotten the Covid-19 vaccine, or have received an antibodies test please indicate on your registration. If you are someone who has not yet contracted Covid-19 we ask that you be testested 5 days before (March 7th). All participants must be Covid-19 symptom free for the 10 days leading up to retreat (November 9nd- November 19th) and have no exposure to Covid-19 5 days before (November 14th-November 19th). We will be limiting spots on the retreat so RSVP to claim your spot today.
