The St Pete Mountain Boys' new album, String ‘em up! recounts the latest episode in the group’s 40-year saga in 12 new original songs. The law finally caught up with these desperate Western outlaws, but the sheriff told the Boyz they would let them go if they agreed to hang up their instruments then and there, and torture the honest folks’ ears no more.
Back here in 2025, the St. Pete Mountain Boys ride again. They’ve given up the outlaw life in favor of music (this meant taking a substantial pay cut).
If you're foolhardy enough to hang around with these dangerous miscreants, you'll hear a lot of original tunes, a few traditional Bluegrass numbers and a couple of Grateful Dead sing-alongs, featuring banjo, mandolin, fiddle, dobro and four-part vocal harmonies.
