Whether you're an artist, performer, technician, educator, or creative producer, Split Screen empowers you to experiment, innovate, and tell stories in entirely new ways.

During the Split Screen events, we bring together some of Scotland's most talented artists, creative organisations, and digital experts to explore how technology can open up fresh ways of making and sharing performance.

This mixer event will provide a platform for knowledge exchange, peer networking, and expert talks and provocations from leading voices in the community. We aim to take attendees on a journey of discovery, where you leave feeling inspired and connected.

We are delighted to welcome Stacie Lee Bennett-Worth to share an evening with us and offer a window into the development process of choreographic software tool OTMO by Alexander Whitley Dance Company.

Split Screen is led by the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (RCS) in partnership with Scottish Opera, Scottish Ballet, Citizens Theatre, CodeBase, Techscaler, Creative Glasgow, and anam creative.

Keynote Speaker [Stacie Lee Bennett-Worth]

Stacie Lee Bennett-Worth is a multidisciplinary artist working across performance, film and installation, with a strong foundation in dance – beginning her training at just four years old. Her contemporary movement practice explores how creativity can support mobility, flexibility and wellbeing, both personally and collectively.

Her work, often situated between choreography and digital media, has been presented in diverse settings including Turner Contemporary, Big Screen Southend, and the National Maritime Museum. Stacie has a particular interest in reframing natural environments – especially coastal spaces – within indoor spaces such as galleries and museums, offering new ways of experiencing place and presence.

In 2024, she completed her PhD at De Montfort University. Her research developed the Digital Circuit Training Model – a practical, accessible framework for integrating low-cost digital tools into performing arts education. This work supports both teachers and students in enhancing digital performance skills and bridging the gap to higher education.

Stacie is also the Executive Director at Alexander Whitley Dance Company, an artist-led creative studio at the intersection of performance, installation, research, and digital technology.

Fireside Chat Host [Yasmin Sulaiman]

Yasmin Sulaiman is VP of Partnerships at CodeBase, an organisation dedicated to helping people build better startups.

Yasmin started her career as a journalist reviewing shows at the Edinburgh Fringe, before eventually becoming Editor-in-Chief at Scottish arts publication The List. After four years there, where she led the transition to The List going free, Yasmin joined Creative Edinburgh as Executive Director, working with and advocating for the capital's creative community. Since joining CodeBase, Yasmin has worked with hundreds of potential founders to help bridge the gap between the creative and tech sectors.

Yasmin has also been a Trustee at the Edinburgh International Festival since 2019.
