Splendid Song Brocade: Chinese Intangible Cultural Heritage Craft Workshop
About this Event
Join us for an exclusive, hands-on journey into the world of Song Brocade (Song Jin), one of China’s most luxurious and historically significant silk-weaving arts. Listed as an Intangible Cultural Heritage, this exquisite craft—renowned for its shimmering metallic threads and intricate patterns—was historically reserved for royalty.
Held in the historic Edinburgh City Chambers right on the vibrant Royal Mile, this 2-hour immersive workshop offers a peaceful, creative escape amidst the bustle of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Guided by blogger and artisan YAN, you will learn the stories behind these ancient motifs and create your own premium masterpiece to take home.
