Splash 2026 Art Auction
Arts Umbrella’s Splash Art Auction returns for its 44th year on October 3, bringing together art, culture and philanthropy for one of Canada’s most anticipated charitable art auction events.
Presented by Nicola Wealth and co-chaired by Christie Garofalo and Bruce Munro Wright, OBC, Splash – one of Canada’s highest-profile fundraising art auctions – brings together an elegant cocktail reception showcasing all of the Splash artwork, an evening program featuring a seated dinner and performances by the Arts Umbrella Dance Company and Pre-Professional Musical Theatre Troupe, and a highly anticipated Live Auction led by auctioneer and contributing artist Hank Bull, followed by The Party. Hosted by Fred Lee and Gloria Macarenko, the evening will also feature a new red carpet experience sponsored by MaxMara, where guests can capture their moment in the spotlight, as well as a chance to win a sapphire bracelet generously donated by Clara Agopian as the evening’s prize draw.
The Splash Art Auction Collection features approximately 100 original works generously donated by established and emerging Canadian artists, offering a dynamic reflection of the country’s contemporary art landscape. This year’s collection features works by some of today’s most compelling voices in Canadian art, including Andrew Dadson, Landon Mackenzie, Greg Girard, Edward Burtynsky, Jake Kimble, Sarah Anne Johnston, Marie Khouri, Don Yeomans, Johnny Pootoogook, and Moses Salihou.
Arts Umbrella is Canada’s leading not-for-profit charitable organization dedicated to arts education for children and youth. Proceeds from Splash support the organization’s multidisciplinary arts education programs, which serve approximately 20,000 young people each year through scholarships, bursaries, and community programs. Today, nearly 80% of students access programming at no cost, thanks to donor funding.
