Join Tiffany and Jenny for Sound Journey, Meditation and Metaphor at this Spring Writing Workshop.
Come awaken your creative spark with this engaging interactive poetry writing exploration.
For secret poets, curious wordsmiths or the seasoned novice, this intimate intentional gathering will be an incubator for your literary creativity.
You will be given poetry craft instruction designed to help you develop a mindset of poetic language and expression.
You will be given the parameters + guidelines to write within ‘the art of haiku’ for those who desire structure.
For those who desire free writing, you will be given many examples, across all classic styles of poetry.
This poetry salon will be a confluence of meditation, sound healing, ceremony, sensory experience, free flow creative writing and sacred supportive community.
Through guided visualization, energy work, spring word catalogs, journal prompts and all of the natural wildcrafted items that will be on display to serve as inspiration, we will create a fertile space for you to discover or reclaim your unique creative spark!
During our free writing session, you will also enjoy the sounds of assorted artists on vinyl as Tiffany will have her record player set up as another inspiring resource station.
The art of writing can be both redemptive and cathartic as we can ultimately externalize those things we cannot express any other way.
Spiritus Mundi- or ‘ world spirit ‘ describes the collective soul of the universe, which contains the memories of all time.
From Spiritus Mundi-it is believed, comes all poet’s inspiration.
A Tea Ceremony will close our poetry salon and evening together, this will serve as an opportunity for those who wish to share their writings to-in an intimate poetry reading.
*No writing experience necessary or required for this workshop.
Please bring a journal and writing utensils, any nature totems that reflect the spring season for you, as well as a yoga mat and other blankets and props to help you feel snug and supported.
Dress comfortably, as we will have a sound journey, sitting meditation and the
abundance of our time spent in a container of coziness while you explore your inner spring germination.
Please bring any drinks or snacks that you may need.
