Our Fellowship & Formation programs continue with a 4 part series on Spirituality & The Arts: How Do We Connect to the Divine Through Art?
Guest speakers on May 12th will be beloved local actors, Gary Thornburg and Lori Van Wallendael.
Lori Van Wallendael has been a frequent stage performer in Salisbury and the surrounding area for over 30 years. Lori was most recently seen locally as Heidi Schreck in What the Constitution Means to Me at Lee Street Lab. She has also performed as Dr. Evelyn Ashford in the Lee Street Lab production of W;t, Ruth Condomine in Uwharrie Players’ Blithe Spirit, and Helga ten Dorp in Lee Street's DeathTrap. Other favorite roles include Queen Elizabeth I in Shakespeare in Love, Aunt Sally Talley in Fifth of July, Aunt Nonnie in Sweet Bird of Youth, and Clelia Waldgrave in The Nerd. Lori is also a member of the Phoenix Readers and has performed in the Living Room Reading Series in Concord, most recently in The Minutes and Love, Loss and What I Wore. Lori’s day job is as Associate Professor of Psychological Science at UNC Charlotte, where she has taught since 1986.
