About this Event
Spiritual Practices for Real Life
What is a life well-lived? How do we achieve such a life?We know there are no concrete answers, but engaging with these questions can be a meaningful experience. Together, we will explore some of life’s biggest questions from the perspective of Jewish spiritual practices. Gratitude, spirituality, divinity, resistance, redemption — these themes offer a glimpse into the conversations shared in this chevruta.
Sessions will be facilitated by Yafit Shriki Megidish, Senior Director of Jewish Learning in partnership with Iyun.
We will meet once a month on Sundays from 7:00-8:30pm:
January 12 - On gratitude: Empty platitudes or practice worth cultivating?
February 2 - I’m not religious, I’m spiritual: Toward a vibrant Jewish lifestyle
March 2 - Not my G-d: Conceptions of divinity
April 6 - On political and spiritual resistance: Protest or pray?
May 4 - Revelations from the ruins
May 18 - Siyum: How do we meaningfully close this learning journey?
Cost:
Single session: $12
6 sessions: $60
