Spiritual Formation Module 6: Spiritual Formation of Generation Z and Alpha

About this event

Spiritual formation is an ongoing journey to greater intimacy with God. We are being transformed into Christlikeness through various pathways including spiritual disciplines and prayers, spiritual companions, listening to our bodies, and connecting to the Divine through worship and music.

Tyndale Spiritual Formation Certificate 2022- 2023 offers 7 modules, beginning September 24, 2022 running through April 1, 2023. A minimum of 6 modules are required to graduate from the program, however, all 7 are recommended. Upon completion participants will receive a certificate of completion.

About the Module

This module will explore the spirituality and discipleship models which coincide with the unique connectivity of Generation Z (born 1997 to 2010) and Generation Alpha (born 2011 to the present). This generation is longing for deep relationships. How can we lovingly hold open space for young people growing up in a post-Christian world? We will examine the intersectionality of technology and spirituality, discovering ways in which digital space can be effectively utilized for faith formation. Students will discover and learn theoretical guiding principles and practical hands-on strategies designed to nurture the spiritual life of younger generations as Christ-followers within the context of the home, church, and in the digital space.

Through a combination of videos, discussions, and live instruction, you will have the opportunity to connect and come alongside other like-minded individuals who have a heart for younger generations.

Jenn Aspilla is an adjunct Instructor for Tyndale Seminary in the areas of Spiritual
 Formation and Youth Ministry.

She is also the Pastor of Spiritual Formation at Encounter Covenant Church and Lay Minister at Bramalea Free Methodist Church. Jenn resides in Brampton, Ontario with her husband and children ages 7 and 5.

Cost:

Each module is $135.00 plus administrative fees. $850.50 for the package of 7 modules (plus administrative fees), complete cost for the Spiritual Formation Certificate program with 10% discount. There is an Early Bird Discounted rate of $795 for the package of modules, only available until August 19, 2022. Packages are only available before the start date of the first module.

Learning Format

There will be online videos for students to watch one week beforehand in preparation for the LIVE Zoom session. Once registered and closer to the date, details concerning the format of the module and Zoom link will be sent to you.

Refund Policy

Cancellations made 7 days or more in advance of event date, will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 3-6 days before the event, we will offer you a credit for future TSFC events. Cancellation requests made within 24 hours of the event may not receive a refund nor a transfer. If TSFC cancels an event under circumstances that would make the event non-viable, registrants will be offered a full refund. When you register for an event, you agree to these terms.
