Spiritual Explorers

Spiritual Explorers is a 4-part workshop series that aims to help people understand their faith and spirituality through exploring the ideas of others. Each week follows a different theme that helps build towards a fuller understanding our own personal practice, while leading us through new ideas from our group and the wider world.

Spiritual Explorers is open to people of all genders, sexualities, classes and backgrounds. We are open to people of all faiths and none.

We believe in interfaith dialogue - that all experiences are views are valid and do not seek to prescribe any definitive points of view.

Week 1 - July 17 - History and context: What made us?

Week 2 - July 24 - Speaking plainly: What do we mean when we talk about faith?

Week 3 - July 31 - Personal practice: What do our practices mean for ourselves?

Week 4 - August 3 - Community and belonging: How do we find community, how do we build community?

About the Organiser

Marsh Ana (they/them) is an events organiser and writer from the North of England. They run the London Queer Death Cafe and have organised and spoken at events focused on interfaith dialogue, community and LGBTQ+ issues.

About the venue

Newington Green Meeting House is a grade II listed building in north london with a multi-century history of radical dissent and activism. The building is currently run by New Unity, an inclusive church who run several community programmes in the area.

The building is wheelchair accessible and has accessible bathrooms. If you have other access needs you would like to discuss please get in touch.

About the ticketing

Standard tickets are £5 per workshop, and go towards covering costs for this event. Any additional money after costs will be donated to a local charity (to be selected by participants).
