We’re summoning all spirits—ghoulish, glittery, and everything in between—for a full day of art, culture, and community in the heart of Downtown San Marcos! We're welcoming you to Spirit Squared, a celebration that blends spooky season fun with the rich traditions of Día de los Muertos.HERE'S WHATS BREWING:
✨ All Day: View the Art Scared window painting contest entries across Downtown
✨ 9 AM – 4 PM | Spooky Market hosted by San Marcos Art League & the Visionary Endeavors Vendor Market
Discover eerie art, handmade oddities, and themed treasures from local vendors.
✨ 9 AM – 6 PM | Community Ofrenda
Bring a photo copy of a loved one to honor by placing on the ofrenda. (Photos will be tagged if pick up after event is preferred.)
✨ 11 AM – 5 PM | Downtown Business Activities
Stop by 17 participating businesses for hands-on fun like painting your own Día de los Muertos mask and other themed crafts and activities.
✨ 4 PM – 7 PM | Sugar Skull Face Painting
Get your calavera look just right before the evening festivities begin!
✨ 6 PM | Ofrenda Ceremony
A heartfelt moment to honor those who came before us.
✨ 6:30 PM | Live Cultural Music Performance
Let the rhythms carry you into the night.
✨ 7 PM | Outdoor Movie: Coco
Cozy up under the stars with free popcorn and a film that celebrates family, memory, and music.
