SPINNING BABIES® FOUNDATIONAL WORKSHOP

Phelps Health is hosting a Spinning Babies® Workshop, led by Venus Standard, a certified nurse midwife, Lamaze childbirth educator and doula. This innovative method helps babies rotate more easily, making birth easier for mothers. Completing a Spinning Babies® Foundational Workshop is the prerequisite for our Spinning Babies® Integration Workshop and advanced training programs.
After this workshop, healthcare professionals will be able to do the following:
👶 Enhance comfort during pregnancy and make childbirth easier for patients
👶 Improve fetal position without manipulating the fetus
👶 Identify issues quickly
👶 Discover gentle actions to shorten long labors or avoid cesareans
👶 Resolve malposition and labor dystocia with less (or no) force
👶 And much more!
Who: This workshop is open to all professionals who serve patients throughout pregnancy and birth, including the following:
· Midwives
· Nurses
· Nurse practitioners
· Doulas
· Childbirth educators
· Obstetricians
· Family medicine doctors
· Prenatal yoga instructors
· Chiropractors
· Acupuncturists
· Massage therapists
· Perinatal case managers
· Community health workers
Spinning Babies® is recommended for both new and experienced professionals.
👣 Details:
· Refreshments: Refreshments and light pastries will be provided in the morning.
· Attire: Wear comfortable clothing that allows for easy movement (no jeans or buckles).
· What to Bring: If you have them, please bring pillows/bolsters, a yoga mat, and an exercise or peanut ball.
· Parking: The DDCI has a parking lot in front of and on both sides of the building.
· Continuing Education: Continuing education credits are available for some participants.
