Spinnin' Sugar Skills Clinic: Introduction to Climbing Skills
About this Event
This women's clinic will cover foundational bike handling to support riders to more efficiently and effectively ride their bikes in steeper, more technical terrain. We will cover body position, balance, and wheel lifts. This clinic will benefit any level of rider who is looking to improve their uphill skills in order to stay on the bike longer through tough climbs and find more enjoyment in techical terrain. This is not a climbing endurance clinic. Uphill endurance fitness is not a pre-requisite for this clinic.
This clinic will be led by Annie Pendygraft, PhD, a psychotherapist and seasoned mountain bike coach with seven years of experience empowering riders. Specializing in performance, sports-based trauma, and navigating fear, Annie brings a unique and holistic approach to her coaching. While her work has taken her to trails across the nation, she cherishes her home in Kingfield, Maine, where she enthusiastically explores the local terrain. Annie's expertise in nervous system regulation and adaptive responses to fear has supported women nationwide to cultivate greater confidence and joy in their mountain biking adventures.
