Come play poi! Join us for a FREE one hour taster hands-on SpinPoi session that your brain and body will love and then, if you like it, feel free to come back for free every week in term 3.
Everyone with an interest in poi and hauora (physical, mental, social and spiritual wellbeing) is welcome, and no previous experience with poi is necessary. During the session we will talk about the history of poi as a precious taonga (treasure), explore research on the health benefits of poi, and try gentle poi movements to help you relax, stay fit, and have fun.
The session will be led by SpinPoi Founder and CEO Dr. Kate Riegle van West, who completed her PhD studying the effects of poi on physical and cognitive function.
