Saturday afternoon, December 27th we feature "Frank" the amazing debut studio album by Amy Winehouse. We're spinning the full LP—a dazzling blend of jazz, soul, and R&B—on pristine vinyl. Hear the raw talent and unforgettable wit that launched a legend!Frank, released in 2003, is a brilliant introduction to Winehouse's singular voice and sharp lyrical wit, blending contemporary R&B rhythms with classic jazz sensibilities. Though often overshadowed by her later work, this debut is a sophisticated, deeply personal, and musically mature statement.
Join us at The Listyning Room for a focused, high-fidelity experience, allowing you to appreciate every intricate horn arrangement, subtle groove, and the astonishing depth of Amy's voice, delivered track by track on our world-class sound system, featuring Audio Note, Klipsch, and Cambridge Audio.
There will be a brief introduction and then a full play through of the album. We open on Saturdays at 1:00 pm for Open Spin (BYO music) and record cleaning. The feature LP spins at 4:00pm.
