Greetings Fiends and Friends! I hope you all survived the various trials that are the month of December and are enjoying the new year. We are back with a writing workshop at the end of January! This month, we have a special guest facilitator: @Trae Dahl.
Trae Dahl is a poet and educator from Albuquerque. They live with their partner and two kiddos. Together with their partner, they also run a homemade curiosities shop. They are published nationally and locally in journals like Pemmican, Cliterature and Adobe Walks Anthology. They have taught statewide and coached both 2010 and 2011 youth slam teams. They are available for workshops and performances and can be reached at dahlfacepoet@gmail
Trae writes: "Your grief needs a home that isn’t your body. So why not a poem? We’re in for a storm and the season feels so far from springtime. But when we come together to write, it heals.
Come explore our big feelings for the new year with me. We will give them a home and share in some good medicine"
The start time for the workshop is 5:30pm, but feel free to get there early to mingle before we get going, and please consider staying for the Open Mic that starts at 6:30pm.
About the Group:
Spill the Ink is a poetry writing workshop, hosted by Katrina Kaye, based in Albuquerque, NM. The goal of this group is to conduct monthly writing workshops, while creating a community of writers. These workshops are free of charge, but we do hope you will support our venue by purchasing food or drink. Also, stay for the Open Mic after the workshop to share your work!
