Join us for a 3-day K9 Dynamic Detection Course, where you'll refine your skills and elevate your performance to new heights. Delve into refined techniques aimed at enhancing clarity and precision in detection work, intensifying focus within the indication, optimizing reward systems, refining leash handling, mastering search patterns, and honing your ability to navigate novel odors and handler influence. This course is limited to 15 available spots!
The goal of our Spike’s School is to educate and improve communication between the handler and their K9 through top-notch training from exceptional and recognized trainers across the country. Quality training results in increased effectiveness in the workplace and safer handling, protecting everyone involved. Thanks to our generous donors, we are able to sponsor approved applicants to help relieve the burden of training costs.
We will be teaming up with Steve Stoops to provide the best education possible. Students will undergo personalized training tailored to their specific requirements and challenges. Steve’s comprehensive training experience will empower you and your K9 to excel in the field like never before.

This course is limited to 15 available spots!
Prerequisites:
1. Handler and K9 must be an active and certified member of a departments K9 unit.
2. Dog must be current on core vaccinations per AAHA Core Vaccines: Rabies, and Combination vaccine (Distemper, Adenovirus-2, Parvovirus, +/- Parainfluenza).
3. PLEASE NOTE **Students will be expected to participate in intense and rigorous training with K9's. Please come ready to train**
**If a K9 attending the course has received a ballistic vest from Spike's K9 Fund's donors, the K9 must wear the vest for the duration of the course. If the K9 team does not bring the vest with them, the team will be responsible for training fees associated with the course.**
