A Spicy Wing Summer Social is coming to Twelve Whiskey Barbecue on the South Side for a night of wings, spice, music, drinks, social games, and meeting new people.

This is not just a wing challenge. It’s a full summer social built around spicy food, local flavor, nightlife energy, and real connections.

Whether you’re coming solo, with friends, single, taken, new to Pittsburgh, or just looking for a night that feels more fun than “just going to a bar,” this event is built to make it easy to talk, laugh, compete, and connect.

Guests can come to compete in the spicy wing challenge, cheer from the crowd, try featured sauces, vote for their favorite reactions, take photos, meet new people, and enjoy a high-energy summer night at Twelve Whiskey.

We’re excited to feature Hammajack Sauce as one of our local sauce partners for the event. Guests will get to experience local heat, flavor, and Pittsburgh-made spice as part of the Hot Wing Summer experience.

How the Event Works

We’ll start with check-in at Twelve Whiskey Barbecue, where guests will receive their event wristband and get settled into the night.

Throughout the event, we’ll host spicy wing tasting and challenge rounds featuring different sauces and heat levels. Guests can participate as challengers or enjoy the event as spectators, voters, and social guests.

This event is designed so everyone can be involved, even if you do not want to eat the hottest wings. You can come for the music, the food, the crowd, the giveaways, the photos, and the chance to meet new people.

During the night, we’ll have hosted moments to help guests interact, including social prompts, audience voting, and chances to connect with other attendees.

At the end of the event, we’ll use Pinyada to help guests reconnect with people they met during the night — whether that’s a new friend, a networking connection, or someone you may want to see again.

Challenge + Social Format

This event will include a limited spicy wing challenge for guests who want to test their heat tolerance.

Challenge participants may be featured in hosted rounds, audience voting, and prize moments.

Not into spicy food? No problem. You do not have to compete to attend. Spectators are a big part of the event and will be able to cheer, vote, mingle, and enjoy the party.

Featuring Hammajack Sauce

We’re excited to highlight Hammajack Sauce as part of the event experience.

Their sauce may be featured during tasting/challenge portions, giveaway moments, or event content. This is part of our goal to spotlight local flavor and introduce guests to Pittsburgh-area food brands in a fun, interactive way.
