Experience the magic of dishes that sustained freedom, spirit, and resistance, as we invoke recipes that crossed the Atlantic and back in the pots of Yemoja and Oshun, the warmth of the fires that bring us together, these ingredients that nourish and grow roots in new homes.

Join us as we cook up a special slice of Lagos, reconstructing identity through taste and foodways. From the Bahia's tropical coast to the steamy heart of Lagos Island, we find the Popo Aguda, a colourful Brazilian Quarter right by the Oba's palace. Freed Africans in Brazil returned to Nigeria from the 18th century, bringing back distinct Afro-Brazilian elements, including cuisine and craftsmanship that have shaped the cultural memory of Lagos today. Our menu celebrates Lagos as port, that connects the gifts of trade, the volitity of independence, and heat of movement. Wa jo!
