SpeedRailz Presents: Best Bartender in Texas – San Antonio Tournament

Our Mission

SpeedRailz was created to provide a platform for bartenders to showcase their speed, craft, and technical skills while building community, career growth, and industry recognition. The Best Bartender in Texas campaign takes this mission statewide, visiting San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, and Austin to find the best of the best.

With each city’s top bartenders competing, our goal is not just to crown a champion but to highlight the talent in our industry, create networking opportunities, and develop new avenues for career growth.

Our statewide campaign consists of two key stages in each city:

1️⃣ Qualifier Round (Speed Focused) – Competitors race against the clock in classic SpeedRailz fashion. The top 8 bartenders from each city advance to the Main Event.

2️⃣ Main Event (Speed + Craft) – Bartenders compete in a speed round AND craft the best cocktail of their lives. Scores from both categories are combined to determine the Best Bartender in each city.

Each city’s winner will receive a cash prize and a media day at their home venue and advance to the Texas Finals in Houston in June.

💥 Qualifier Rounds: Bartenders will race against each other in drink-making speed matches. The top 8 from each city advance to the finals.

🍸 Main Event: Bartenders will be tested in both Speed and Craft—half of the score comes from how fast they make a round of drinks, while the other half comes from a judged craft cocktail competition.

🔥 How We Crown a Winner: The bartender with the best combined placement in Speed + Craft will be declared the Best Bartender in their city and advance to the Texas Championship in June.

💡 Live Judging: Industry professionals and attendees will get to taste and vote in the craft portion.

John Pittman, better known as Bartender2CEO, is the founder of SpeedRailz and owner of B2C Creative—a media and event planning company specializing in helping bartenders and bar owners grow their brands.

With 18+ years in the hospitality industry, John saw a gap in recognition and career development for bartenders, leading him to create SpeedRailz as a platform for industry professionals to showcase their talents, network, and gain new opportunities.

John has helped hundreds of bartenders and bar owners gain exposure through SpeedRailz and B2C Creative, making it one of the fastest-growing bartender communities in the country.
