Isolation is something many LGBTQ+ people experience, especially with our harsh Fairbanks winters. Building community and friendship is one of the best ways to push back against that.Join us for a fun Speed Friending Night where you can meet new people in a welcoming and low pressure environment.
When you arrive you will:
• sign in and fill out a small info card about yourself
• use the card to share interests and take notes about new connections
• mingle with others before rotations begin
Then we will move into speed friending rotations, where you will have short conversations with different people throughout the evening. Each round will be about 5 to 7 minutes, giving you a chance to connect with a variety of new folks.
Food and snacks will be available and the vibe will be relaxed + friendly.
Evening Schedule:
5:00 to 5:30pm
Arrival, sign in, fill out info cards & mingle
5:30 to 7:30pm
Speed friending rotations!!
7:30 to 8:00pm
Open hangout time to continue conversations and build new friendships while we calculate your info cards to see who matched!
