Speed Friending in the Park: for Women & Nonbinary Folks!

🎉 Join Us for an afternoon of Speed Friending with other lovely women and nonbinary souls 🎉

We will be at Frick Park Bowling Greens from 12 PM to 3 PM with a circle of picnic blankets in the shade. Feel free to bring some food or drinks to share.

Feel free to stop by whenever you can make it and make a new friend! We are here for the connections in whatever form we want to create!
⭐ Guidelines on How to Connect in this Space ⭐

We want to co-create a safe space to choose you own adventure without the pressure or expectations of others. You might be here to make friends, or lovers, or find your people, or find someone to go to shows with, or have craft nights together, or start a biz with, or just explore new people with no expectations at all! All of that is okay here!

We do not ask for phone numbers or contact info in this space. Instead, we write our own contact info on a note card and hand it to the person we want to connect to. We live in a society that doesn't always enable us to say a true yes or no and the cards are meant to take away the pressure.

When you hand someone your info, there is no expectation of it being reciprocated. You do not know the reasons the other person is at this event, or their backstory, or their trauma, or if they are oversaturated, or if they JUST don't feel like it today! If they throw away your card, that has nothing to do with you! We are all complex humans with complex lives so let's give people the benefit of the doubt and find the people that have the space for connection with us.

This type of space is a co-creation! If someone isn't following the guidelines, you can gently let them know that "We do not do that here" and show them what we do instead. Let's build a safer and more consensual community together!

🕰️ How Speed Friending Works (with a Dash of Consent) 🕰️

You can join the speedfriending picnic-circle at any time and jump out if you need to as well. Our skilled host will guide you to your spot, where they'll introduce thought-provoking questions to the entire group.

You and the person across from you will have a thrilling five to ten minutes to delve into each question before rotating to meet a new intriguing soul. It's an effortless way to uncover the real you, to embrace honesty, weirdness, and yes, even practice a bit of awkwardness. This safe and empowering environment encourages everyone to speak authentically and connect with like-minded individuals.
We do not ask for phone numbers in this space. We want people to feel empowered to be themselves at this event and not feel pressured into any type of connection. At the end of the event, we will provide folks with note cards to offer those they wish to connect with and with no expectations.
