Encounter Dating are hosting a Sydney Speed Dating event exclusively for singles aged 35-49 at The Oaks Hotel in Neutral Bay.Expect to meet eligible singles from across Sydney for a night of fun and flirtation!
You'll go on a series of mini-dates with around 14 singles of the opposite sex, with the ladies remaining seated and the guys moving tables every six minutes. You get to decide who you would like to contact further after the event through our matching platform.
Speed Dating is all about having a fun night out and meeting new people, face to face in the easiest way possible and as everyone’s single and up for meeting people the success rate is very high.
What Ages Can I Expect To Meet
We usually find that the ladies tend to be in the younger age range e.g. 35-47 while the men are a few years older e.g. 37-49

Event Itinerary
7.00pm - Guest arrivals, welcome drink and pizza served
7.30pm (approx) - Speed dating begins
9.30pm (approx) - Speed dating ends and post event socialising begins
Once you arrive our friendly hosts will greet you and sign you in. Collect your welcome drink from the bar while we wait for all guests to arrive.

What is your cancellation policy?
Please email us at [email protected] at least 48 hours before the event to receive a 12 month credit that can be used towards a future event. If you cancel within 48 hours of the event, you will only receive a credit if we are able to fill your place with someone on the waitlist.
I am older or younger than the specified age group – can I still attend?
This event is for singles aged 35-49, however we do allow guests to be outside of this age group by a maximum of 12 months. Please ensure you have photo ID with you to show on request.
Can I transfer my ticket to a friend?
We offer free name transfers as long as your friend is of the same sex and within the specified age requirement for the event. Simply email us at [email protected] with your booking details and your friend’s full name, age and email address.
How do I select my matches?
After the event, log in to Encounter Match and select who you would like to see again. If they have also selected you, your preferred contact details will be shared with each other instantly on the My Matches page. You will have 24hrs to select your matches after the event.
Do many people attend by themselves?
Many of the guests at our events come by themselves as they don't always have a single friend available to bring along with them.
