Speed Dating

Vibes Events UK is pleased to annonce their very first Speed Dating Night! This is a charity event so, all profit genrated will be going to our chosen charity, Glasgow Women's Aid.

This is predominantly an event for students in Glasgow from the City of Glasgow College, Glasgow Caledonia University, University of Strathclyde and the University of Glasgow. However, if you are a young adult aged 18-24 from Glasgow, you are also more than welcome to attend.

This event is ideal to meet new people and for singles to potentially find a connection with someone.

Tickets include complimentary Prosecco on arrival ?

How will the event run ?

On the day of the event, we will email you your very own virtual ticket. We will then scan your ticket on arrival and issue you will a complimentary glass of Prosecco. Registration will begin at 19:45 and we aim to have the first set of dates under way just after 20:00. Each date will be two to three-minutes long and ended by the sound of a hooter. Once the hooter sounds, the females will remain seated and the males will move to the next table. If at the end of the date, you feel a connection with the other person, we encourage you to ask if they would like to exchange contact details.

Do not worry if you are nervous or shy! We will provide question cards on each table to help start conversations. Each question card will have tame and 'risker' questions to choose from, depending on how brave you are feeling. There will also be several intervials to allow you to top up your glass and to catch a break.

Venue

This Event will take place on the ground floor in Bar Square, Merchant City, G1 1NU. Bar Square has been establisted since 1999 and pride themselves on a high standard of service and apperance with beautiful features and luscious seating.

Bar Square are also being generous enough to sell a specials drink on the night at a discounted price for all of our guests to enjoy as well as thier usual wide range of drinks.

Live music will also be playing at the event to liven things up.

Our Charity

All profits generated from this event will be going to our chosen charity, Glasgow Women's Aid. Glasgow Women's Aids is a fantastic cause, they have been supporting women, children and young people who are experience domestic abuse for over 35 years. The devlopment of thier service has been influenced by the experience of the women, children and young people they have supported. As an organisation, they provide support, information and temporay refuge accomidation.

About Us

Hello, we are a group of Events Managment HND students at the City of Glasgow College called Vibes Events UK. This is our first ever event together so we are very excited and putting in a lot of work to make sure this event is a success for you! We will be examined on the night of the event, so rest assured we will be doing everything we can to make the event as good as possible. We only hope all of our guests are well behaved and have a wonderful time.
