About this Event

Free 2 hour session open to all staff with an interest in Palliative Care/Care of the dying.

Learn what the terms palliative care and care of the dying means in practice. Recognise signs of dying using LAST Breath acronym.

We will introduce you to a number of tools to help support realistic conversations with residents/patients and the people who are most important to them (future care planning/ReSPECT).

Each care home will receive a toolkit which will include examples of the tools discussed.

Attendees will be offered the opportunity to attend follow up sessions to support utilising knowledge and skills in practice.
